Esther Doe Lodge sheltered housing consists of 12 self-contained studio flats. The scheme was established in 1868 and rebuilt in 1974.
There are gardens to all sides of the building, with limited controlled parking the front and side of the property.
The scheme is located in a residential area with vehicle access from Wades Hill and Broadfields Avenue.

How to apply
Applicants to this almshouse must be women of at least 55 years of age and who are of the Protestant faith. Preference will be given to applicants born in Bethnal Green, Whitechapel and Streatham.
